Dr. Navalgund obtained a Doctorate in Medicine from Saba University. He continued on at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA to complete an Internship in General Surgery. He then completed a residency in Anesthesiology at UPMC Mercy in Pittsburgh, PA. He also completed a fellowship in Interventional Pain Management at the West Virginia University Hospitals in Morgantown, WV. He obtained board certification in Anesthesiology prior to obtaining board certification in Pain Management and currently maintains maintenance of certification by the American Board of Anesthesiology in Pain Medicine. He additionally maintains certification by the the American Board of Pain Medicine. Dr. Navalgund has also maintained a faculty position as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology / Division of Pain Management at the West Virginia UniversityHospital System.

Dr. Navalgund has served as past president of the Pennsylvania Pain Society and Past Vice President of the West Virginia Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.

He currently maintains his position as Chief Medical Officer and member of the Executive Board of Directors at National Spine and Pain Centers and National Spine and Ortho.

This is all in addition to co-founding DNA Advanced Pain Treatment Centers. DNA consisted of multiple offices throughout Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas.
