Biography

Dr. Khurram Jehangir Khan is a board-certified specialist in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R), Pain Medicine, Brain Injury Medicine, Hospice & Palliative Medicine, Orofacial Pain, and Headache Medicine. He earned his medical degree from Dow Medical College in 1999 and completed his residency in PM&R at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA, where he served as Co-Chief Resident and was honored with the Resident of the Year award. He further advanced his expertise through fellowships in Hospice & Palliative Medicine, Headache Medicine, and Pain Medicine.

Dr. Khan has held academic appointments as an Assistant Clinical Professor in Palliative Medicine at UCSF Fresno and Clinical Instructor in Headache Medicine at USC’s Department of Neurology, while also serving as an Academic Associate at Tufts Medical Center. His scholarly contributions include roles as an Associate Editor for PC-FACS, a peer reviewer for DynaMed and Dove Medical Press, and a Communications Representative for the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine’s Therapeutic Ultrasound Community of Practice. His dedication to the field was recognized with the 2016 AAPM Fellows Scholarship Award by the American Academy of Pain Medicine.

With specialized training in orofacial pain and headache disorders under the mentorship of Dr. Michael Clark at USC, Dr. Khan is uniquely skilled in diagnosing and treating complex craniofacial pain conditions, including temporomandibular disorders, neuropathic orofacial pain, and headache syndromes. His clinical practice encompasses comprehensive, non-operative pain management, utilizing advanced techniques such as fluoroscopic and ultrasound-guided injections, personalized pharmacotherapy, and multimodal rehabilitation strategies.
