Biography
Dr. Huang has had a special interest in the effects of the nervous system and psyche on chronic health conditions since working on her thesis while at the National College of Naturopathic Medicine. Portions of that thesis (The Emotional Roots of Chronic Musculoskeletal Pain) eventually evolved into a paper on polyvagal theory and acupuncture. You can find her article Polyvagal Theory through the Lens of Chinese Medicine in the June 2021 issue of the Journal of Chinese Medicine. Along with acupuncture and cupping, she treats patients using botanicals, nutrition, and lifestyle counseling.
